The first episode of 'The Pizza Show' starts off in Brooklyn, where our host Frank Pinello, a true Brooklynite, reminisces about the significance of his local pizzeria during his upbringing. Our journey begins at Roberta's in Bushwick, a pizzeria that has transformed the entire neighborhood. We then meet Mark Iacono, the owner of Lucali in Carroll Gardens, who constructed his restaurant by hand and is committed to preserving the pizza-making tradition of his neighborhood. Finally, we pay a visit to the pizza king himself, Dom DeMarco of Di Fara in Midwood. Dom's reputation precedes him, and even experienced pizzaiolos like Frank and Mark find themselves questioning their own pizza-making skills after visiting him.
